    Image courtesy of http://www.mkrob.comAccording to, Joe Theismann has confirmed that he won't be returning to NFL Network's Thursday Night Football in 2011. Theismann will likely land on his feet somewhere as a color commentator, but if he doesn't, it would mark the end of a long era.

    Theismann first called an NFL game in 1985, when he teamed up with Frank Gifford and Don Meredith for Super Bowl XIX. Theismann was only the second person to do commentary on a Super Bowl telecast while still an active player. Theismann went on to be a color commentator for CBS, ESPN and the NFL Network.
