    Today's Astrodome - Former 8th Wonder of the World

    Reporters and photographers were allowed access to the Astrodome this past Tuesday for one of the few times since the Astrodome hosted its last event.  Unlike the Astrodome in its heyday, the current Astrodome is decrepit and in sad shape - photos of today's Astrodome can be viewed here. 

    The City of Houston has been unable to find a fitting end to the Astrodome - whether through a different or new use for the Astrodome, or through implosion of the structure. Hopefully Houston will determine a fitting and respectful end to the Astrodome.
